1TB Hard Drive Era

by admin

I have learned earlier that Hitachi announced at CES 2007 their launching of a 1tb hard drive first quarter of the current year.

They said that they will be shipping this out in limited number at stores so better watch out guys if you want to be the first ones to have this.
I was wondering earlier how much 1tb would cost if that was released long time ago? By now, 1mb usually costs around $0.50 compared to its first release in 1956 which goes at an oozing price of $10,000.

In addition, Seagate also announced their release of their own 1tb hard drive moments after Hitachi’s announcement. This will be a good sign for all of us as there is immediate competition for the product which will result into lower prices.

Looks like we are now entering the 1tb era….
